Birthday Weekend

Normally I am not that big of a birthday person when it comes to my birthday...especially as the years keep adding up. But I have to fill you in on this awesome weekend that I had.

Saturday Michael and I went down to Santa Monica to begin my birthday shopping spree- what a great gift right? Then we headed to Manhattan Beach to cruise around the beach for a bit and ate at Cafe Rio for dinner- so yummy! Then instead of heading back to Valencia we checked into to this super cute boutique hotel on Wilshire and walked around the UCLA student's late-night hangouts. It was a blast to be with Michael all day and have his company while shopping at every one of my favorite stores, he was such a trooper.

Sunday morning we got up and headed to Dayna's church to listen to Garrett's parents talk, and they did a great job of course. This was followed by the most wonderful birthday lunch get-together. Dayna was gracious enough to allow our family, my new family, Garrett's family and the Garns to all come and take over her house. Dad had just come home from Maine and while he was there he made arrangements to have live lobsters flown in for the lunch...so cool huh?! There was so much food and excellent company. I was so happy to spend the day with the family and friends.

Monday I worked in the morning after heading to Denny's for breakfast. I know that may not sound so great, but IT IS!! Mom had never been  and I don't think that she was totally disgusted by the end :) But it is really cheap and FREE on your birthday- YaY! After work cute Michael wanted to continue the birthday celebrating, so we headed to Ventura, ate at this little Indian restaurant on Main and then headed to the beach for the sunset...right behind all the clouds and fog-boooo!!! But we still had a fun just being together.

All in all, had a fantastic weekend...
